Options: Materials Processing, Functional Materials, Energy Materials, Nanotechnology, Computational Materials Engineering, Materials Testing and Characterization, etc. with Concentration (Concentration areas will be within the Major discipline) B.Tech with Minor (Minor in any other discipline than the Major discipline) Options: Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, etc. As a part of the B.Tech Program in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering a student may opt from the following five options: IIT Ropar has devised a very flexible curriculum to provide the best possible multi-disciplinary and in-depth learning. The focus areas of the Department are Physical Metallurgy, Extractive Metallurgy, Mechanical Metallurgy, Energy Materials, Functional Materials and related areas.
